Don't let your marriage fell like it will end in divorce by going downhill. To save your marriage, there must be something you can do to save it, right? Many couples go through hard times in their marriage even though they might still be in love. By putting the romance back into a relationship now, you won't find yourself in a place that you can't get out of and where you won't be able to fix your marriage.

Through the years, things do change between a couple. Most often romance is the first thing to go. Things like finances or the needs of the kids can get in the way and out-weigh the needs of the parents. Never does the need for love and affection lessen. By ignoring these needs, the bond between the couple becomes stretched and may break. Plus, if one person is committed to keeping the romance alive while the other puts it on the back burner, resentment can build; and marriage can be crushed, without a doubt, by resentment. So what are some ways that you can put a little romance back into your marriage before it is too late?

When children are involved in a couple's relationship, it can be hard to find time just for yourselves. Grandma and grandpa, a neighbor or a babysitter can watch the kids for just a night so that the two of you can spend sometime together and keep the romance alive. A dinner out alone sometimes can be a wonderful relationship refresher. You don't even need to be home or intimate to make it possible to show affection on a daily basis. Your partner will love finding a love note written by you and left in the house where they could find it. Your partner will really feel loved if they find a small note where you wrote "I love you!" in a drawer or maybe hidden in their wallet and that will help boost the romance between you two and show your partner that you care about them. Spend time with each other just by taking a walk together. Show your partner that the most important thing at that time is to spend time with them and put your other responsibilities like dishes, the lawn, and bills aside. A walk is a great way to leave distractions behind and focus your attention on your partner.

Your partner's needs must always be taken into consideration. At this moment perhaps romance is not on the top of your to-do list. On your partner's list, it may be on the top though. You must always be open to your partner's suggestions. You must make time for your spouse or your relationship will surely end up in the gutter. Put your schedule aside for your spouse even if it is just to hold onto a lingering kiss, because it will make a big difference in the busy lives we lead.

Your spouse needs to know your expectations about affection, sex and romance so remember to be honest and open with them. If the course of your life is not where you expect it to be, now is the time to start. Telling yourself that "someday" you will have the time to be romantic will only hurt your marriage. Sooner or later you will find out that "someday" never comes and you have wasted the time that you once had.
